How much can neodymium iron boron magnets absorb?
When designing a product that requires neodymium iron boron magnets, there are certain requirements for its magnetic force, or how much can neodymium iron boron magnets absorb?
Under normal circumstances, neodymium iron boron magnets can absorb objects 600 times their own weight.
The factor of suction

The attractive force of NdFeB magnet has a certain relationship with its volume, performance grade and distance.
The larger the volume, the greater the suction power.
The higher the grade, the greater the suction power. For example, for magnets of the same size, N48 has much higher suction power than N35.
Refers to the distance between the magnet and the adsorbed object. The greater the distance, the smaller the attraction.
There are many specifications of neodymium iron boron magnets, with holes and special shapes, which are directly related to the suction force and the calculation is more complicated.
And different distances also have different suction power. Different material grades also have different suction power.
Distance: Direct adsorption, zero distance. – Take the above three conditions as examples. Corresponding to this picture:

The suction formula of ordinary NdFeB magnet: weight * 600 times = suction PS: weight = volume * density
The suction formula of a circular neodymium iron boron magnet: volume * density * 600 times = suction
Example: 20mm*5mm N35 neodymium iron boron magnet
Suction = (10 radius * 10 radius * 3.14 * 5 thickness) volume * 0.0075 density * 600 times = 7065g (g)
In other words, the 20*5 N35 magnet can absorb 7.065 kg of objects.
The suction formula of a square NdFeB magnet: volume * density * 600 times = suction
Example: 20mm*10mm*5mm N35 neodymium iron boron magnet
Suction = (20 length * 10 width * 5 thickness) * 0.0075 density * 600 = 4500g
In other words, the 20*10*5 N35 magnet can absorb 4.5 kg of objects.
If your magnet specifications are of these two specifications, you can directly apply the formula to calculate. Please note that the size unit is mm (millimeters), if it is cm, you need to convert it.

This kind of adsorption method is that the neodymium iron boron magnet is placed between two iron plates, and the suction force will be strengthened due to the larger contact area.
This type of attraction is the attraction of two magnets superimposed on each other. Basically it has the same suction power as the first one.
